We’re POP+DUTCH, a sandwich shop and pint-sized specialty grocery/general store. If you love making sandwiches, weird jokes and new friends, we want you to come work with us this summer.
When it starts: We open for the season on May 3rd, and will be looking to fill our team with nice, helpful, enthusiastic people for the Summer 2019 season from mid-May through Labor Day.
Who we’re looking for: Fun, helpful people who do things like change the toilet paper roll when there’s none left. Both breakfast and lunch shifts (opening and closing) are available.
– Full or Part-Time Counter Staff: Our counter crew is responsible for customer service (aka being really nice to hungry people), order-taking, coffee-making, sandwich-assembling and cashiering. In the spring and fall, we’re a sweet, quirky little shop with loyal regulars and inside jokes. In the summer, we’re a cranking powerhouse with a brand new clientele every week — organization and the ability to keep your cool when things get hectic is key.
– Full or Part-Time Kitchen Staff: Our kitchen crew is responsible for heavy prep work, sandwich-making and baking. Our heavy focus on homemade proteins, condiments and salads makes our prep list a challenge every day, with opportunities to be creative when there’s a moment to think. We’re a tiny little shop, so there’s also a pretty solid chance you’ll need to interact with customers while you do these things. If you prefer to hide in the kitchen and listen to the sound of the ticket machine, Pop+Dutch might not be for you. Otherwise, come make weird jokes with us!
– Full or Part-Time Dishwashers/Porters: When the dish pit gets unruly, the kitchen can’t function correctly. We also need help receiving and organizing large deliveries, occasional help slicing and portioning meat, etc. This role is key and will be compensated accordingly. We’re happy to accommodate short shifts for those working multiple jobs. Come be our Swiss Army knife!
What to do next: Email us at email@example.com to let us know what you’re interested in doing, when you’ll be in Provincetown, and what relevant experience you’ve had in the past (but don’t worry, we’ll train you if we like you and are willing to work with all kinds of schedules). Unfortunately, we aren’t able to provide housing, so please let us know whether you’ve secured yours for the season!
Talk to you soon!
